Easy to control

Continuous studio lighting kit is easier to control to brightness and angle. The timing of shooting becomes less critical. In the past, the traditional continuous studio lighting kits are notorious for emitting a lot of heat. The temperature rise causes many problems inside studio. Such as overheating of other studio equipment. Take tungsten bulbs as an example, since the energy efficiency is about 10%. If you require high power lighting of 1000 watt, the scenario will be like turning on a 900 watt heater pointing toward the model. Such the significant heat source reduces the service life of the expensive equipment. The models will feel uncomfortable and thus greatly affect their performance and thus the quality of portrait photography.

LED is a contemporary continuous light source for studio because it does not generate much waste heat. This “cool” light has energy efficiency of 95%, which means 100W LED replaces 1000W tungsten filming lighting kit.
