Color Changing Flood Lights

By combining the RGB constituents, which stands for Red, Green and Blue, the colored flood lights produce more than 16 million hues of light by DMX 512 wireless control system. The color changing flood lamps are extensively used as RGB wall washer inside or outside temple, building facade, suspension bridge, tower, water fountain, waterfall, stadium (decorative), to give you a decent & bewitching look.

A broad spectrum of visible lights can be achieved with the help of RGB lights. They are available in different luminous efficiency, the most common ones are of 85 lm/W and they are available in all sorts of lighting fixtures. Be it a color changing flood light, wall pack, high bay, high mast, strip, recessed, track, and billboard lights. These lights have a wide application range, from small indoor stages to high rises with multi-colored illumination and complex lighting control systems. However, among the most famous applications of colored flood lights is LED RGB wall washer. With the help of these LED colored flood lamps, one can bring about drastic changes in the looks of their offices, buildings and other structures without the need of investing huge sums on painting.

These RGB LEDs are so compactly packed together in sets of three LEDs (Red, Green and Blue) that, when the hue level of each independent color is adjusted, millions of beautiful color combinations can be produced. To control the hue of these LEDs, a variety of systems are available in the market, which allow the users to vary the colors as per requirement. The cheapest ones only enable the users to produce a set of few typical colors. This is because the control of hue level of each LED is not as good as other expensive control system alternates.

Further, the color changing flood lamp shall be selected with details to the outdoor application. The compactness of RGB LEDs directly effects the distance between the colored floodlight and the wall. If the LEDs are not very compactly packed, the different colors are not properly fused in and they are visible separately on washed exterior wall. The distance between the LED and the wall also determines how much of the individual portion of the colors (RGB), is visible on the wall, the farther the wall the better will be the mixture.

On the other hand, if distance between wall and colored flood light is not possible, then an RGB wall washer with more compact LEDs shall be selected to ensure better fusion of colors. Along with the fusion of color, other parameters such as luminous efficiency, hue controller, beam angle and luminous flux shall also be accounted for. The beam angle is one of the critical ones, in such application, as with variation in the distance between wall and light, the beam angle must also be varried in order to ensure complete coverage of the target area. Moreover, since LED wall washer is to be installed at outdoor applications, it must be ensured that, the light fixtures is suitable for outdoor use with an ingress protection of about IP 66 at least.
